The son of a Montana cattleman/horseman met the daughter of a Nebraska farmer in 1983. Jon proposed to Pam on the phone (not on purpose… there’s a story here) and they married six months later. They served together in campus ministry at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University for the next 13 years.  Their four sons were born in Utah: Bryant, Jason, Jonathan and Sean. They moved to the Boise area to plant a church in 1997, still their church home – Riverside Community Church.  In 2001, Jon joined the staff of Search Ministries, opened Search Boise and is Area Director for Idaho. Search equips adults for a lifestyle of ministry, particularly helping others take the next step toward God, wherever they are in their journey. Pam joined staff with Search in 2013 to reach out to women. As a lifestyle, they both spend their waking hours equipping people “up” in heart and mind issues.  They both embody the “Search-style” of ministry, what one participant described as “fun, open, friendly and serious-minded.” Jon & Pam reside in Eagle, where they have raised their four sons and have now entered the empty-nest season. They enjoy a variety of sports & recreation activities, reading, a good cup of coffee or a glass of wine… and “simplicity.”
